How can we help?

One friendly inbox for both of our games — bugs, questions, ideas, or just hello. A real person (often a small one) reads every message.

Antipode Chess

A chess variant played on a closed board — two 8×8 faces that wrap into one world. There is a full description of the rules on the Antipode Chess page.

That move looks illegal — is the game broken?

Almost certainly not. The board is a closed surface, so moves that would be illegal in standard chess are correct here: columns run in a continuous loop (column 16 connects back to column 1), and ranks A and H are poles that connect to the far side of the world. A rook really can attack the same square from two directions at once. The quickest way to see it is “Learn the globe” on the main menu — six guided moves, about two minutes — and the in-game Rules button is available mid-game without losing your position.

Which parts are free, and what does the purchase unlock?

The game is free to download. Both tutorials, two-player games on one device, and the Easy and Normal computer opponents are free forever. One optional non-consumable purchase, Full Game, unlocks the Hard opponent, online turn-based play, and rated games with leaderboards. There is no subscription, no second purchase, and no ads anywhere in the app.

I bought the full game — how do I get it on my other device?

Tap Restore purchase on the unlock screen while signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with. The purchase is permanent and tied to your Apple Account, not to a device. If a restore does not bring it back, message us with the email address on your Apple Account and roughly when you bought it, and we will help you sort it out. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Online play, Game Center and notifications

Online turn-based games run through Game Center, using the account already signed in on your device — there is no separate Jabuti account, and nothing for you to create. If online play or the leaderboards are not working, check that Game Center is signed in under Settings → Game Center. Turn-notifications are iOS notifications: if you are not being told when it is your move, check Settings → Notifications → Antipode Chess. Everything else in the game — both tutorials, two-player, and all three computer opponents — works with no connection at all.

Your rating and the leaderboards

Rated online games feed an Elo rating and two Game Center leaderboards. They are entirely optional: you can play every mode in the game and never look at a rating. What a leaderboard shows about you is governed by your own Game Center settings, which you control in Settings → Game Center.

A game in progress, clocks and undo

Your game in progress is saved on the device, so an interrupted game can be resumed. Use Undo to take a move back and Moves for the full history in readable notation. Clocks can be set to 3, 5 or 15 minutes, or switched off entirely while you are still learning the board.

Still stuck?

Send us a message. If it is a bug, telling us your device, your iOS version, and what the board looked like when it happened makes it far easier to fix.

Scales of Prophecy

A gentle, fully narrated dragon adventure for ages 7–10 — hatch a dragon, choose a clan, and journey across six worlds. There is a full description on the Scales of Prophecy page.

Does it need the internet?

No. Scales of Prophecy is 100% offline. The whole story works in airplane mode, there is no account and no sign-in, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Where is my dragon saved?

On the device, and only on the device. You can keep several dragons at once, each with its own story. Because nothing is stored on our side, deleting the app deletes the saves, and they cannot be recovered or moved to another device.

Purchases

The game offers optional one-time purchases that unlock additional story chapters. A purchase can only be started after an adult passes a parental gate, and Apple then requires the account holder’s own authentication. Purchases are permanent and restorable on your other devices through the App Store.

About our games

Neither game has ads, and we collect no data about you — no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, and no account to create. Scales of Prophecy makes no network connections at all; Antipode Chess connects only if you choose to play someone online, and then only through Apple’s Game Center. Curious how that works? Read our privacy policy.
