Indie game studio

We build worlds worth getting lost in.

Hand-crafted games for curious kids — and the grown-ups who love them. No accounts to create. No ads. No tracking in our games, ever.

Slow studio. Big worlds. No tracking in our games — ever.

We're named after the jabuti, the little tortoise that wins by going the distance. We make games the patient way: made pixel by pixel, built to last, and designed to respect your family from the very first tap.

Our games

Two games. The same promise.

A dragon saga for young readers, and a chess variant for anyone who thinks they already know chess. Both made slowly and with care — the dragons by our family, the chess as a co-creation with a friend.

Raise a dragon. Choose your clan. Save the realm.

A fully narrated, hand-crafted pixel adventure across six living worlds. Hatch your dragon, name it, and journey through a story made to be read aloud — completely offline, with nothing between your child and the magic.

Antipode Chess: the two faces of the board meeting at the pole
Antipode ChessChess on a square globe

Ages 4+ · coming soon

Chess, on a board that never ends.

Two 8×8 faces wrap into one closed world. Columns loop all the way around, ranks A and H are poles, and a rook can attack the same square from two directions at once — which is where the game gets its name. A co-creation: designed by Jonathan Beckner and developed with Ricardo Accioly. Free to play, with one optional unlock.

Our team

A dad, two kids, and one very patient tortoise.

Jabuti, the studio mascot

Our mascot is a jabuti — the little Brazilian tortoise we’re named after. He isn’t fast, but he’s the one that finishes the journey: patient, careful, and built to last. That’s exactly how we make our games — by hand, with love, the slow and steady way.

And we make them as a family. Ricardo (the dad) writes the code and draws the art — but the real game designers are Nicolas, 8, and Thomas, 7. Every build is playtested by the toughest, most honest critics in the house: if it isn’t fun for them, it doesn’t ship. The boys invent dragons, name worlds, pitch ideas, and vote on what makes the cut.

Ricardo

Ricardo

Dad-in-Chief · code, art & coffee

Turns a pile of brilliant 7- and 8-year-old ideas into a real game you can actually play — all powered by the Mega Brain.

Nicolas

Nicolas · age 8

Chief of Clever Patterns & Kindness

Sees how every piece fits together, and makes sure the whole game feels kind, calm, and fair to play.

Thomas

Thomas · age 7

Director of Chaos, Art & Big Booms

If it can explode, sparkle, or make you laugh out loud, it was almost certainly his idea.
